That's a really good model, and if it is a production run example, it's excellent quality. I really like modern Russian military stuff, they seem to have designers that can make armour look good as well as perform. The Sukhoi's look like they came out of the Ferrari design house.

If I remember correctly this is a scratch build Armata on a HL Leo2 lower.

Is it just me, or does new Russian armour (or indeed, Russian anything these days ) lack the soul of the Soviet equivalent?

Here is a vid of the Armata MBT in trials. It looks like they have managed to incorporate everything into a very small tank (harder to hit). The crew sits in an armoured capsule in the hull, so that they are protected from fuel and ammo, the turret and gun are remote controlled. Logical thinking I guess, a tank can be replaced but a crew has to undergo a lengthy training process. It's been designed so that the lower hull can be used for a variety of upper hulls, spg's etc.
