Certainly very eye catching. It also invites a good long,long look, and appreciation....it also makes me want to check my bank balance! The tank appears very detailed and well made to me. What puzzles me about Mato metal bodies, though, is that when I invited the forum to comment on the Mato metal Tiger 1(complete), or the quality of the metal upper and lower hulls (available from rctank, and presumably from Forgebear), the responses suggested that the Tiger is just a metal version of the Heng Long, and not an object of desire...like your Sherman.
Have Mato improved the quality of the metal models lately across the board, then, or is it just that the Sherman ticks all the right boxes? The suspension on the Mato metal Tiger was cited as a drawback, as it wasn't a torsion bar type like the original, but presumably the Sherman suspension is OK, as it looks like the HVSS system....

Hey, the tiger was their first metal offering and as such suffered from the shortcomings you describe. The panzer iii and stug iii were much improved with nice opening hatches, better suspension etc. The metal Sherman seems to have been reported as being of a high quality. Good thing seems to be Mato have listened to what we want, having options of being RTR, ARTR, painted, unpainted increases the appeal to a larger number of people. This particular tank has the earlier vvss system which is nicely represented, down to the separate moving elements.

Oops, I meant to write 'VVSS'.. and not 'HVSS. Silly moi. Grateful for the evolutionary background on Mato products, though. An all metal Comet, Mk 1 "Big Willie' (but not because of the nickname ), or Centurion
would fill my wishlist pretty well, and it's also heartening to learn that manufacturers do give a hoot- if only a small one- about consumer wishes. Maybe a petition would get results; especially one calling for Brit tanks.
