Want a quick, easy, and cheap way to make your own stowage?
Stop the wife from throwing out those empty tomato puree tubes.
They are made from thick foil which once washed and dried, can be rolled, moulded and painted
to represent bed rolls, canvas, or tarpaulins.

Take a look at the tarpaulin on the back of my PzIV in the HL Builds section. Needs some more weathering and the rope (string) tie downs, but I think it looks the part.

Old handkerchiefs are useful. Nice fine cotton fabric that can be stained with diluted paint, tea, mud or whatever. When it is cut to size it can be folded with the cut edges to the inside, rolled up and tied on.

Soaked in a mixture of water and PVA glue they can be "moulded and shaped" too!

My son went to Ikea and bought a realy c**p set of net curtains about 4x3 meters, they cost less that a fiver. I nicked the off cuts.

I cut up 6 inch squares , wove a few tiny little bits of paper hanky through the net squares here and there, stained them with paint and rolled them up...hey presto cammo netting.

I rolled the net around a length of thick copper wire, then I bent it into shape around the track segments on the side of the Tiger turret. The copper wire inside the netting makes it hold the shape I needed. You can see the result on Tiger 323 fotos.

Now here is a really great idea.......

I often go into a hoby shop for something or other and end up reading the books....have you ever looked at the price of those "how to" books?

We should put all the ideas from this segment together into a book and publish it......loadsa money....I can see a second hand Challenger on my drive as I type this.........what's yours guys?????

heres a nother take hair nets for food service or factory cut the elastic off and i took shoe goo or any other silicone and glued the elastic on to hair net and then spray they are kind a stiff but loosen up and make sure you dont glue it to table (dont ask)you can see result on bulldog pics posted by mr[move][/move]
