Finally got an RC Tank

Post by daveave64 »

Hi, I used to make models years ago, mainly WW2 German vehicles and troops.

Always wanted an RC Tank and finally got Tiger. Now the fun part of relearning painting begins.

Upgrading it as well with custom parts, some nice ideas on this forum

Welcome to the fold. I hope you are not thinking you will just have the one tank. I did, and am now on my third :D

There are a lot of Tigers out there - being nosey, which one did you succumb to?

Henglong Tiger 1 to start with, it has metal tracks/gearbox.

Ordered some upgrades, Zimmermat, grills for engine covers, metal barrel and recoil, machine gun, going to see what I can make, my friend has a 3D printer

Very true, I want a Sherman or T-34, would love a WW1 RC Tank

If you scroll down to "OTHER MODELS" go to "6 scale WW1 Tank", and you will find HELENS Tour de Force,
Helen goes by the web name of MK1 nut
A magnificent build well worth searching out.
And welcome to the Forum.
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Hi daveave64
Welcome to the club.
"Henglong Tiger 1 to start with", definitely the early signs of an addiction.
Keep at it enjoy your new found toys (I mean Scale representations of the real thing).
They are our pride and joys and as such we make as we want them, to start with.
Then the addiction kicks in, the wallet is no longer consulted and a whole squadron of true, as far as possible accurate models will appear in your arsenal.
We do not stop playing because we grow old.
