Re: need help
I've clear coated several guitars , and the advice is never do this on humid or wet days . Or you will get clouding . Hope you get this sorted.

Re: need help
This is just out of curiosity because I'm in the US, but with spay cans of clear matt, flat and semi gloss and gloss enamel available why do so many of those of you in GB seem to use varnish as your finish coat.
Re: need help
Might be a language thing, I know I call pretty much any clear coat varnish be it lacquer, Matt clear or varnishgreengiant wrote:This is just out of curiosity because I'm in the US, but with spay cans of clear matt, flat and semi gloss and gloss enamel available why do so many of those of you in GB seem to use varnish as your finish coat.

Re: need help
I was just wondering why use varnish (which is not a paint)
rather then the available enamel clear paints available in rattle cans. Much easier then getting out the airbrush. I have seen rattle cans of varnish in gloss and matt but never flat.
Have never had a white fogging problem with the enamels unless spayed to heavily all at once
