Diorama -WW2
Having been in discussion with Max about his Model Village, I spotted this WW2 diorama on Youtube. It's the best I've seen yet..by a (ragged) country mile...
(though your woodland set is mighty impressive, Max..). Better still, this vid includes a brilliant British Comet model and a superb Pz1V. It's also wonderfully staged, and in a way slightly off-putting for aspiring diorama modellers, because it's just too damned professional. I'll have to take up knitting instead

So now I have a goal, make mine better!! Seriously, though, that's a pretty good set up, and it shows me what you can do in a small space with the right camera angles. I also like his sound effects, something else I still have to educate myself on.
BTW, Roy, since you made fun of my undersized Flak guns I decided to go ahead and get two more. They'll be here tomorrow. That will make three, one for each tower of my "loosely (VERY loosely) based on Dunstaffnage" castle.

I'm sure the Flak guns'll be fine....it's all just a matter of distance and perspective. A Bull in a field can be 1/4 inch high; but p***ed off, and close up it can really fill the landscape, as you fill your pants! ... but isn't that Comet a real beaut though? Sound effects are really good, as you say..and the German creator's attention to detail ought to appeal to some part of your genetic structure, Herr GaryMax-U52 wrote:So now I have a goal, make mine better!! I can get that fountain kit if anyone wants one.
Re: Diorama -WW2
Yeah, Terry, I want one, and I'll send you some photos of something else cool for your park, a gazebo. Made from a birdfeeder. You'd be amazed how many birdfeeders can be adapted for our little villages. Next time you message me let me know price info on the fountains.
