Panther G in-the-works

Post by FirsthandSnow »

Hey, I finally got hold of some Waltersons 5:1 ratio gearboxes and have fitted them, they make a hell of a difference to the realism of the tank and at last can handle inclines with ease at low speeds :) I've had to unfortunately leave a screen out that should hold the gearbox to the plate, however the gearbox doesn't line up too well with the plate for the screw to fit, I'm think of maybe looking of a smaller screw and seeing if i can get it to fit, we'll see..
I'm still using the H/L RX-18, and since installing these gearboxes, the controls are opposite. So, to go forwards I have to pull the stick backwards, to go backwards I have to push forwards, and so on and so forth, it gets a bit confusing while driving. Any idea how to make the controls right again? I will eventually, possibly my next investment, get an IBU2, so whether it will be fine with the IBU2, I wouldn't know.
There are the gearboxes installed anyway :)
