Recommended paints for figures/tanks

Post by Zeffer »

As I decide on the tank I want I'm thinking of buying a figure, e.g. Tamiya infantry man.

It's years since I have done this, what glue would you recommend and what paints? Anything else I should consider?

Thanks!

It might be worth your while having a look at video from Last Cavalry TV on YouTube. The painter is Dave Youngquist, who to my mind is pretty good. I wish I could paint like that. He always says what paint he uses - mainly Vallejo and Andrea and has a lot of good tips.

You'll need to factor in if you're brushing, air brushing or both. Some paints do both well, some do one well etc.

First decision, enamel or acrylic? Most guys will recommend Vallejo acrylics for figures, and i plan to give them a try myself, since I've always used model master enamels.
