Hi Alpha,
Sorry I got you into trouble lol. I am glad you enjoyed it I know its not modern but we did have fun, and to be quite honest I was a bit shocked when sprocket fell off, but when I saw the video it made me laugh it just so gracefully fell off and stayed where it landed. Well now I have got it going thought I might add extra bits like cargo net, sandbags etc make it look good without modernising the original. Yes you can share the video as much as you want would be nice to have comments. I would like to say thank you for all your support.

Re: Very old Tamiya Sherman Tank Upgrade
Well you and your buddy did a fine job....though I kind of miss all the really ancient looking parts
...Max?....He understood lol....I'm a General...so delegating is part of the job
....everything was all in fun though
I thought it was cool when the sprocket fell off...I actually like when that kind of thing happens...People never show that stuff you know...But it really does happen...Happens to me every once in awhile...I just step back and chuckle ..thinking it could really happen (on a real tank)
One thing...didn't see any movement with the turret...is that something for the future or it does and it wasn't included in the footage?

Hi Alpha,
Well its very basic back in them days things like turrets turning and the like were not invented then lol. But my friend seem keen to make the turret move and the barrel go up and down, but not sure if it would be right, I do miss the old bits in there and I am still looking out for a replacement speed controller.

Hi yes I think one of the original ones I bought it secondhand in the late 70's early 80's, Yes keeping all the bits that we took off, when I think it came with a 6v wet lead acid battery just seems so old now.

Hi Kiaser,
Not for sale Im afraid just so special, my first RC model, When I bought it some bits missing so I sent to Tamiya to see if I could buy the missing parts they said yes, when they arrived ther was a bill for 25,000 yen panic set in I can say then found out only about £5.50 in them days. But had so much fun with it over the years, it still has a kit of spares just in case only thing I could,nt get was the mechanical speed controller but still looking.
