Not having much luck bud,all I can say is during my last back episode I lost the feeling in my right leg from the knee down.It took 6 months to sort itself out but it went back to almost normal.

Andy I cannot imagine what you are going through, I do remember many years ago I was flown back to the UK and admitted into hospital on August Bank Holiday,
Six months later I was in the office of the Medical Officer with my freshly rebuilt legs and he said "I am signing you off as fit for duty, any questions"? "Yes" I said, "I have no feeling in my right leg from the ankle to just above the knee,Oh don't worry about that boy you will soon make a full recovery",
That was 1966, it is still without feeling although both legs work perfectly although the scars still make kids run to their mothers when I am by a swimming pool, crying out "urhh look at his legs",
I have seen some terrible injuries suffered by friends so I figure I got away pretty lightly especially when I think of how much pain I could be in if I actually had feeling in my leg !!!
Get well.

What did you originally do to hurt yourself if you don't mind my asking.

No feeling at all? Blood flow ok? Check for polynuropithy, I've probably spelled that wrong but my mother had it. It's basically the nerves die and you loose feeling, it's most often caused by exposure or ingestion of heavy metals and could have been from years and yeas ago.

Jack if you mean me, the only heavy metal involved was a Blackburn Beverly 4 engine transport which deposited us at a lower hight than we were briefed to expect into high tree's at night :problem:

Guys the support on this Forum is nothing short of outstanding Thank you!!!!!!!,JACKALOPE and Guys ."....... I have spent 30 years heavily involved in Rallying and Motorcycle Enduro,a few to many crashes and also 20 years fitting kitchens heavy work tops etc.
To date I've had 10 spinal ops from disc trims to fusions 2,metal plates and 14 screws ,but 18 months ago I started having mild like electric shock type seizures to my lower lumbar only happen,s whilst standing, these have gone from 1 a week to now as many as 3 a day,and the intensity has increased now it's like a 240v shock to the lower lumbar that just drops me to the floor like a sack of s##t and my local hospital hasn't got a clue regards Andy

Spartan,
I can empathize with you. I get the same sort of shock if I bend my right side or hip at ...just...the right angle. Makes me shout out in surprise when it happens. I've got a calcium thing going on and my R pelvis is slowly growing a bridge to my lower spine. If it gets inflamed, they touch more often and I go around like I'm barking mad for a while. Docs are controlling it with meds + I had to give up dairy. I really miss milk and ice cream. Eventually they will go in and cut it out but I'm not ready for that. Take the best care of yourself that is possible and hopefully you will be back on your feet in no time.
with all regards,
Painless

Well that'll do it! Hell all the years of my riding caused so many stress fractures in my wrists that I'll loose feeling in my hands doing push ups, that's finally what made the ARMY discharge me. Damn drill Sgt saw me shaking my hands after a PT test and asked what was wrong, I tried telling him nothing but he kept asking till I told him my fingers go numb a little after I do like 60 or more pushbups. A month later I was home.

Rocketman, Anyone who has had dealings with the Blackburn Beverley will have a lot of stories to tell,
I remember watching one of these Piston engined monsters reversing down a jungle airstrip simply because there was no room to turn the aircraft,
It had to be one of very few Piston engined aircraft with that ability,
We got used to the Argosy's and the Andover,s doing it but they were Jet Prop engine types as of course the replacement for the Beverly, The Hercules was.
I saw a Belfast backing up at RAF Changi once, a sight never to be forgotten.
