Hi guys ,I have a problem with my heng long tiger 1 for some reason it has stoped working , I have changed the mfu so I know its not that ,it is not the sender as I have tried a new one ,it is not receiving any signal to start up or anything I have even tried a new crystal,but nothing works ,anyone got any ideas thanks,tanker 242

Hi Tanker, if it's a 27mhz with an RX18 MFU, have you tried changing the receiver? When you switch on the tank you should get flashing lights - is that working? Also sounds silly and basic but check the battery state, I've had problems and suddenly discovered that the battery I thought was fully charged was a dud! Keep plodding away and I'm sure you'll get the the bottom of the problem. I have found that the receiver can go faulty if there is any shorting to the board, I now put a styrene sheet back on the receiver to stop this happening (again!). Alwyn

Ps it is not the battery or the ones in the sender as I have charged it & put new ones in the sender,tanker 242

Have you checked the aerial connector to the receiver board, if that gets disconnected then the receiver may not pick up the signal. Alwyn

Do the lights blink when you turn it on?

If the lights don't blink and everything else appears to be ok It could be the receiver board if its a 27 mhz (you mention crystals so I presume it is) I've had one where the plug in for the crystal had worn out. Try a different receiver board and cable.

I'm kind of with Giant ...sounds like your crystals...they can go bad sometimes...one tell tale way for a quick check is the band...sometimes they turn black ..which means at some point it was exposed to prolonged heat

Yes the lights flash when I switch it on &the battery is fully charged I will take a look at the aerial & the connection to see off that's the problem as I have try,d the crystal,s &the transmitter & it not them,I was wondering off it might be the board ,as the rx18 is ok ,tanker242

can you check that your crystals are in the right way i know it sounds silly but i have had this
the tx in the transmitter rx in the tank make sure the 2 fork pins make contact in the transmitter and on the board in the tank
see how you get on with this for now

Yup...I'm still with Forge and Giant....it really does sound like your crystals....I had one instance where (I don't know how)...a wire crossed the connection where the crystal is installed...thing is ..the tank jumped...then went dead...found both the crystal and the board were done for
