By the way Max....no...I haven't tried contacting Imex Directly....I mostly browse EBAY....and the seller that carries Taigen Torro...Does not ship to Hawaii...Not sure if they are one in the same...but I really don't like when a seller will direct you to another site to make a sale...Had that happen with trains...They will say...Oh we do ship there..but you have to deal with our site  ....I usually reply back Thanks for the info....But what I'd really like to say is ...You all can keep it...it's their loss not mine...I don't think there is anything that I truly need as a Hobbyist to warrant signing into another outside source if you know what I mean ;)

Now about those Gas Drums...if you were giving away the ones in the picture....it's all good :haha: But if they were the ones you were trying to figure out to make ...those old style drums with the two bands ...I might have jumped on those lol ;)

What ever happened on the production of those anyway?

General, try island-enterprises on ebay. That's Imex on ebay, kinda like rcdynasty is matomart on ebay. However, you'll get much better deals if you call Erik. Tell him Gary in Detroit sent you. Would a Jagdtiger delivered to your door for $575 work for you? I can't be sure but I think that's a reasonable expectation. Again, you really should give Erik a call. He's an avid RC tanker himself and has more than 30 in his stable.

As for the drums, yes, Rad, I make those myself. Like I said, I just turn them up on the lathe and make the bungs with sheet styrene and a Waldron punch. The German ones are still in the pipeline, but lack of enthusiasm for the late war style put them on the back burner. I may do a few of the early style in brass but those are rather difficult so I doubt any of those would leave my village. We'll see what the plumbing supply house has to say about a production run on the late style, but I only have about 20 sets of PE end caps so it will be limited.

There's a good crawler coming up tomorrow, and I bet it can be had for under $25. This is the real thing

but this one is one I'd like to see or build in 1/16.

I'll be keeping an eye on the model crawler. Right now it's at $16 so I just might, but I've spent way too much on accessories for the year. It's time to turn to buildings.
Never mind the 1/16 version of this tracked tractor, Gary...the yellow one would look to be a good basis for a full size mock-up (plywood, aluminium sheeting etc..) of an M3 Stuart  ...the ultimate accessory!
don't you think it has the potential? It could certainly tow my lawnmower :D Also, I could paint the tank in Royal Stuart (also 'Stewart') tartan so it wouldn't look out of place in the landscape..and offend the local planners

Painless scored the Cletrac, which made me smile. Painless isn't as interested in wheeled tractors as I am, so it was very good to see him find the crawler he likes. They can be much harder to find than the wheeled types. I can't wait to see photos of his battlefield when it gets underway. That's gonna be a very cool project to follow.

I also like the idea of a full sized tank to mow the lawn. Did you see that video of the young man that built the little Sherman to drive around his yard? I bet you could build something like that with a built in mower deck underneath and no one would be able to see it.

OK, the last of the items has arrived (except for a couple of duplicates of stuff already here) so here's the wrap party. I'm still interested in seeing anything you guys come up with in the way of cool accessories, so keep 'em comin'.

You can still get these for a pretty reasonable amount on EBAY...I got a used /partially built one for under 50 with ship
The seller even threw in a second body....I like it because it is much easier to hide any RC internals under the shell
You might appreciated it as most of your Armor is German ;)

OK, I found this

Image

so I could use the one you found

Image

to do one in the correct scale, but the tires may be a problem. Not exactly stock on the Type 82E Staffcar.

And then if we want to get really crazy, we could camo one of these!

Image

and that one I could probably even RC, just for kix. They're not really that hard to find on ebay, but they can be rather pricey. The Bug can bring a buck and a half, and I've seen the bus at $80, and of course there's also the dreaded shipping monster that must be fed.

What if I just set the Bug body on the crawler chassis and use the big tires, kinda like a monster-truck-beetle? Too much? A prototype, maybe? Hang a couple MG42s on the sides in pods? Can you see the Bug on this frame and tires? Too much?

Here's one of my favorite accessories. I really have to find some little stars for his helmet.

But that raises a question. Our beloved Alpha is a Major General on a British forum, where they don't use stars, but Lil' Al is dressed in American uniform. Hmmm. We don't want to be historically inaccurate, now do we?

So this thread has pretty much covered all I wanted to for now, but it would be nice to close it out with photos of favorite accessories. So what's your favorite, Men, and can we see a photo, bitte? Wow, I just realized how hard it would be to choose a favorite. I guess today I like the John Deere Crawler best, but that will surely change tomorrow.

Little Al likes it, too.
