Great idea, but it would sell better if it came with the foam inner to stop the tank sliding around inside, i know it would be reasonably easy to do this yourself but some of us are lazy  ::)

Hi Matt the foam weighs next to nothing so would probably have no effect on the postage, i just think if it came ready to use more people would buy one rather than having to source their own foam once they receive the bag, i know i would have scooped one of these up a couple of years ago when i was looking for something, but there was nothing about then so i made my own.

P.S. I still think this is a great product  8)

its a nice idea impact, but i got to agree with keith, it would sell better if the foam etc was included, at the right price of course ;)

Matt has hit the nail on the head here.  Many of WDM's customers are outside the UK, there are restrictions on the size of parcels which can be sent by Royal Mail Airmail and Parcelforce can be expensive.  Most, if not all, carriers including Parcelforce Worldwide also have a volumetric charging system so the cost of shipping a very light but bulky item is calculated on a projected weight based on the package volume.  That said, I will be contacting my packaging supplier with a view to supplying custom made liners for any UK customers who want one.

Prices are TBA but an announcement will be made on the WDM website and on this forum about a special promotion concerning these bags.

Hi Steve, good point on the volumeetric weight, but i think it would be a good move to add it for UK customers like you say.

Nice idea. Our clubs over here use these, Stanley tool boxes. They are tough, fit radio and gear. They can be stacked four to five high for storage. I don't know if you can get them in the UK. If you can they would be worth a look or something similar. A little padding and your investment is pretty safe. Here are a few pics. They are a little dirty from the last desert run at DAK.
You have nothing to fear, but fear its self. Or maybe a KT too!

I was thinking of using a tool box similar to the Stanley one for my Kyosho blizzard but could not find one wide enough.
but I may go that route for my tanks and rock crawler if I take the wheels of it
