Well, Shaun, persuading a feckless senior officer into taking action- ANY action- is precisely what the subordinates of Maj. Major Major Major (named 'Major Major Major' by a cruel and dismissive father.) are trying to achieve in 'Catch-22'.
Whenever someone raps on his office door, looking for orders, leadership and more, the galloping Major hops out of the window and does a runner.. Of course, in his earlier military career he's been sniggered at as "Lieutenant Major Major Major, and Captain..well, you get the picture.
