I have two transmitters that almost identical to that one. Just different in color (mine are black). They are not that great but somehow acceptable. What do you mean "old" here? the 27Mhz?

Same old same old. I don't remembering it being any different than earlier 2.4Ghz versions and the 27 Mhz version.

I bought one of the very first HL T34s with 2.4 and the machine gun sound is different from what was on my Rx-18s, but I don't know if that's what they still use. This one had a very high cyclic rate compared to the normal HL MG sounds.

Another case of the shipping rates biting me, I'd send this unit to Canned Heat just to check out and compare and generally play with, but the shipping rates are ridiculous!

You are in the UK, aren't you, Canned Heat? If you're in the US the offer stands. If you want to try it out I'll gladly send it. I seem to remember it wasn't bad, but I won't be taking out any IBUs to put the HL stuff back in!
