I have to ask, what's the waffle pattern about? Never seen that before.

That 'waffle' pattern would be, I think, a real rarity on a Tiger. Mostly, early tigers had no Zimmerit of any description, and certainly not applied like that.Mid to late vehicles had conventional (horizontally applied) zimmerit,but the practice ended in Dec. 1944. I did find a few Stug 111s with it, and only one Tiger, after a bit of a search ..I won't waffle on about it, though :

Hi thanks for your posts but since i got a free roll of cotton scrim makes sense to use it and so far ive found 3 tigers with waffle pattern plus not going for all out perfection. Making my tank to wot i like

Quite like the waffle pattern!

I'm a big fan of 'what if' tanks. Hence having a desert Leopard and a Japanese Tiger.

Maybe I'll make a Chinese KV with my next one lol

Hi ad lav my tank was going to be the tiger out of kellys heroes film but it zimmerite is the plain common type every body got on there tank so a roll of free cotton scrim changed that butt who's to say oddball tol moriarty to fix the fuel leaks change the zimmerite to waffle pattern because he likes waffles and told him to paint in there colours and insignia still deciding on that probably stay with the german colours but it will be oddballs tiger.granted the wheels will be different cause they filmed in yugoslavia because that had some soviet t34 i think which the film compony boged to look like a tiger might evev put a tanoy on it
