Hi All,
Just a quick one, which has probably already been asked. What colour of Tamiya or equivalent paint would match the red oxide undercoat used on the German tanks?

Re: Red Oxide
I use "Simoniz" Acrylic car Primer, £5 for a 500ml rattle can, Which compares well with a HUMBROL or a TAMIYA 150ml rattle can .Humbrol at £5 for 150ml and Tamiya at £6.50 for 150ml,
I think you would agree there is a big difference in price but no difference in paint quality,
The only thing I do is change the spray nozzle for one from a TAMIYA rattle can.
shaun.

Re: Red Oxide
Plastikote red oxide everytime. Tamiya hull red is too dark.
Re: Red Oxide
I thought he wanted Tamiya specifically. I actually mostly use this one:
Which is the same as this one and is actually called Red Oxide - Imagine that !

I use Tamiya hull red or Mig Red primer. For actual primer I use Plastikote red or white.
