We don't have flags that pop up either, just the blinking LEDs...
What, me worry?

Hey ...it's really great to meet another GUP fan  ....do you play with other teams that also dress their tanks in GUP decor

PS. Flags would be like icing on a cake...LEDs are a good substitute though ;)

My son is a big Anime fan (I was a huge Speed Racer fan when I was a kid) and when I came across GUP I was amazed, not only of the tanks, but the detail of the Tamiya boxes on the store shelves, etc. I still want to know who their target audience is, but I think the show is great.

None of the local crowd really know the show, so we just work as a 'Russian' team. If I ever get to the 38(t) conversion, I'm going straight GUP with it.
What, me worry?

I have a T38 as well....and will go gold with it :haha: :haha:

I've been into GUP for several years already....a friend first showed me a fan subbed version of it....at first it didn't really grab me...the tanks were great....initially and what is what grabbed my attention. Long story short...had to watch it a few times before I got the whole story line ...found it just added to the CG tank graphics and became a fan
Modelling the tanks in RC was the topping on the cake ....Unfortunately most of the photos I had here on the board are history ...one day I will have to spend some time and do a good photo shoot so I can post them all up again ;)

The fan base is pretty big...Interestingly enough...it's only now slowly catching on in the US....I think due to some of the fans of the show who also play WOT...in RC tanks...I've only met a few...and the ones I did meet here on the board were kind of new to it as they were just starting on GUP projects...Even Forgebear now carries decals for their tanks ...Something I never thought I would see :haha:

These are two from my collection...My SAUNDER'S Shermans ...with Kei and the Cheater Girl :haha:

No one makes figures in 1/16th....one of my passions in modelling was doing resin anime Garage kits...
so it wasn't too far of a stretch to do these from scratch
I have also done Katyushia

Erwin

Both shot in my Saunders M1 Abrams ...but usually are positioned in their correct tanks that being the Stug and the T34
Maho Nishizumi....Miho Nishizumi....and what I call the commander of the Jagdpanther...The gal that got shot twice
(sorry no photos of them :'( )

Nice to meet you ausf...I like your take on the Pravda tanks...a very nice mix of historical and anime

Nice figures.

I'd love to produce some 1/16 GUP figs for the market, but can't for obvious reasons.

I end up just doing my own take on TCs:

The Sherman TC will be available as a complete kit once I finish the sculpt.

Like the animated articulation ...especially on the skeleton Commander  Really nice work... :D ...I know what you mean about selling or marketing GUP figures....Being that the franchise has become so large....there might be issues with Copyrights ....Reason I pretty much do them for myself and for friends if they ask ...articulating them wouldn't be that hard ...as most of the components are done separately then assembled ...I don't because I use the stock RC units...the Tanks are just easier to take care of and maintain that way ;)
With that said though...I don't see why you couldn't do some for yourself...your sculpting is spot on :D

Hey Tom, here's a quickie of a T34 I recently did a bit of work to for a customer. They are pretty tight inside, but you can get a clark in there with no problem. I'd advise the conversion to lipo, though, as that 1700 nimh battery really isn't much good. This tank is still on stock electronics.

Hope that helps.
