Cheapest Tamiya Panther?

For non-EU import, up to £15 - no VAT, no import duty. £15.01 - £135 VAT is chargeable. £135.01 upwards, VAT plus import duty. The level of import duty varies according to the product. Have a look vat the HMRC website, it's very helpful. If you work on the principle that VAT is charged and it still works out cheapest, then, if it slips through, you will be about 17% better off than you expected!

Thanks, that's pretty handy. Duties seems to be the least of my worries really, it's often the handler that seems to be the problem. I bought some RC car parts not to long ago from the US and DHL's customs handler charged me 30 quid to process 18 quid in customs. Ludicrous really.

banzai hobby are usually there or there abouts

Do you get burnt by customs from them or do they do the package as a gift/personal?

I got stung by customs but it's still cheaper than anywhere else.

Thanks - I found a place in Germany which is fractionally cheaper when postage is included and it avoids the whole customs thing. I knew I should have put it on the credit card last week

Out of curiosity, which side skirts did you use with yours?

I know it's different in the States regarding import duties, but another reason for using Banzai is you get the Japanese market inclusions, instead of the void in the box like we're all used to.

The Futaba Attack is a nice Tx/Rx to find in the box. The battery and charger are no big deal, but the Attack is sweet.

Banzai has been my go to for Tamiya for a while now. They use EMS, so it's expensive, but it's 2 days to NY, but even with the shipping and exchange, it's less expensive than anywhere I've come across, including my wholesale
pricing.

Well the Panther is sorted, as well as some other items. Just need to work out if I go the Aber route for the skirts or make my own and then try and find the Shumo mantlet.

Regarding my previous post, I had forgotten that whoever carries out the final delivery will make a hefty charge if there is any VAT to pay.

Bill when it comes to PE much as I like "ABER" I always buy "VOYAGER" it is always easier to assemble, I hav'nt looked but if FORGEBEAR is selling ABER fenders then he will almost certainly be selling VOYAGER Fenders as well.

I've tried the Voyager stuff on my King Tiger and the detail seemed to be lower than Aber version when the two are directly compared. The voyager clams are easier to assemble though but with stuff like grills and especially the fire extinguisher, there's no comparison.

Hey Bill, I've found the impact photo etch skirts to be really good! The aber fire extinguisher and barel cleaning rob holders are works of art in them selves! The crew heaters nice too.
