Mitchell from Ayrshire

Post by mitchell »

Hey all,

Made the move from nitro buggies a few months ago when i bought my first 1/16 tank. Funny thing is i'm into this way more than i ever was with the buggies. And i think i've learned a lot too. What with the endless scope for tinkering. Already i can probably get away with buying a lower hull and just about have enough spares for a complete tank ! Ha ha

Maybe its because i can actually test out new mods etc in the garden or hallway, without having to throw everything into the car and drive to the nearest bit of wasteland, but really you can get so much more done with a tank compared with all the effort and time involved in the maintainance, repair and prep work of a nitro buggie.

Brilliant effort to fun ratio with tanks!

Welcome to the forum and hobby Mitchell.

Tanks are too addictive.

Hi MITCH, Welcome to the Forum
We have an ever growing membership from your country I am very pleased to say,
I now get a bit boring but I have to warn you against Thieves and neer- do- wells I refer to the "BLACKLIST" scroll down and read it,
Then go to the "RECOMMENDED VENDORS" site to discover decent people who will look after you, we buy from them you would not go far wrong by doing the same.
Please ask all the questions you can think of and we will do our best to answer them although if you could confine them to matters concerning Tanks it would help, I for one know very little about the mating habits of Capercaillie's or how to ice wedding cakes!
Enjoy the Forum,
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

The more the merrier, eh :haha: Dad was from Largs (likely not too far from you); Mum from Glasgow, but I'm now from the Highlands where my grandparents originated and had a working still ..well, wishful thinking. Cheers

Nice one guys thanks. Yeah I learned at an early stage that there's some dodgey types around, probably see some familiar names in your blacklist when i have a look.

Hey Ian, fancy seeing you here. I'll be getting in touch soon when I'm getting the IBU2 board. Looking forward to getting the TARR mk4 slotted in, nice wee bit of kit.

Hi Stevie, your just up the road from me
