Battery charging ?

Post by Model Builder 4 »

Hi all,

A quick question about battery charging, I have a number of NI-MH batteries for my tanks, as I have not been running them of late all the batteries have been removed and stored, does not charging them for a good while affect the battery or its life span or does it have little effect as long as it's fully charged once removed ?

Cheers, Lee.

NiMH have no memory issues like NiCd or low discharge failure like a lipo. Their only issue is they lose initial charge over time, so it's best to top them off before a long day out.

I may not use a battery for months or longer with no problems.
What, me worry?

Thanks ausf,

I may give them a quick charge over the weekend just to keep them topped up then, I have about 10 batteries of different ratings and sizes, just glad to hear that they shouldn't all be useless when I go to use them again,

Cheers, Lee.
