Btw Painless.
Did you put IR in you Stug and if so, where did you hide the LED??

Can't seem to find a good spot for it, without ruining the look by drilling a hole for it in the gun shield thing...

Good morning, Arnie,
I left it attached and taped out of the way in the casemate. Even using the view slit or drilling as you mentioned, I couldn't think of a way to attach it where it didn't ruin the look of the vehicle. I don't get the chance to battle so it wasn't a big decision for me to leave it un mounted.
regards,
Painless

Thanks...

My "problem" is that I want to use these as a fun activity when having friends over (I have nerdy friends :P ), so the IR battle is a bit of a must for me.

I had considered the option, of mounting the IR LED in the driver vision slit, to hide it as much as possible, but I just dont know.
I found a thread once, where a guy had managed to mount it in the barrel, along with the flash(like on the WSN models) but I'm not sure it would work with the Xenon flash...

Will have to think about this a bit.

May end up just having it loose in the gunner hatch and only bring it out whenever IR battle is required. The Receiver apple kinda ruins the look anyway.

If you don't mind a bit of Fiction to your build....maybe you could scratch build or acquire one of those Nightvision scopes like what Herman Bix used on his Panther ZuFuss and hide the IR emitter in that...it would be sort of hidden in plain sight ;)

In fact maybe you could PM Herman...because he might have one extra (long story) :haha: :haha: :haha:

Long is right mate !!
I have a pristine set of Asiatam Night scope hardware, for now of no use, but after the hassle of getting it, I really should just hang on to it like a trophy !!!

I reckon which ever way you go, this IV will be a blinder.

Oh, you could always as Mr Painless if he's f he's able to get you a good deal on the night gear from Asiatam ..........,. He managed to divert my kit to bloody darkest Colorado !!!

That would be a slick way to mount that IR emitter. The build is tight in the upper hull. Looking great though.

:haha: :haha: :haha: That's the abbreviated version Arnie :haha: ...Don't think you will have to worry about Painless though....Even though he has priority status with that company....don't think your set (if you choose to go in that direction) will touch the Continental US...like Herman's may have :haha:
