H.L. M1A2 Turret wiring

Post by BarryC »

New to the forum and to 1/16 RC Tank modeling. I picked up a HL Abrams for Christmas and have upgraded it to all metal with new gearboxes and motors. I also added the 360 degree turret ring gear and electrical harness. Like a dummy I did not identify which connector went where on the hull mounted disconnect. Referencing "Photo 1" and "Photo 2" can someone please help me with which configuration is correct?

Thanks in advanced,
Barry

I still need to add additional chafe protection where the harness is clamped.

Barry,

I believe Photo 1 is the correct order of connection since the MG is the 1st and third pin on the 8 pin patch board, and that is what is coming in from the turret. The second three pin connection is used for the Airsoft and the elevation should it should be fully connected.
