Re: paint
hi emajay
i use humbrol enamels, and have been for 37yrs, my Tiger was painted completely by hand (see the photo's) there is no big secrets to painting a tank by hand, just make sure you mix the paint properly, if you need to add some thinners, i usually dont, if youre doing a large area, use a big'ish brush, and try to work as quick as you can so as not to leave brush marks, assuming you are using humbrol enamels thats about it really, apart from make sure you have some enamel thinners to hand, just incase you need to thin the paint, hope this helps

Re: paint
thanks guys for the comments. the way i do battle damage emajay is with a 2 or 3mm drill for shell hits and a soldering iron around the shell hit, also a hot airgun to bent up things like side skirts etc, dont go to heavy handed to start with a little at a time until youre happy with the out come, a soldering iron is good also for glancing shell hits, you also need a good imagination, i would say to start with, get some scrap plastic and practice on that, it shouldnt take long to get the hang of it, also get some photos of real battle damaged tanks and try to copy the damage. hope this helps
