I appreciate the offer Mr Phil..............I'm having a 'Yoda/Skywalker' moment ;)

You sure did make it look easy, the pics you posted have expired on my screen, but the trail left is strong enough to follow.
Heres hoping I do your interest justice.

That sure is a great marker for this build Mr Phil. Thanks.

Today I got some welds done. Cast turrets and welded turrets, there were a mix :/
Mine shall be a welded-cast version.
I also took the time to sort out the huge vision slits that are in the cupola. Used sections of plastic rim from a sour cream container!!
Cut each one to suit, and glued them in as required.
Still need to add weld compound around each arpeture, but the effect is on track.
There are still quite a lot of welds to put in, each flat plate was not interlocked like the German machines, but filet welded corner to corner.
Took my trust brulee burner to do the welds, and also scored the turret casting on the sections each side of the mantlet. These will be toned down with sanding prior to paint.
Sure is a learning curve.

I officially have "Hatch Rage"
Ive buggered two hinge points, busted 2 .53mm drill bits (#71's) and now am just about done with having that louver hatch hinge.
All the gin'in around on it has stunted my progress.

Can still run the lines to the smoke oil containers on the back & secure the hatch over the light and oil line ends at any time without stopping progress, so If I call it now, things wont have to change towards the finishing end .
