All terrain tank
Probably another stupid question but here goes , I have two heng long tigers and neither go over grass very well ( only in a straight line , can't turn) they seem to struggle , they are both ok over hard floors and even loose stones . Could someone tell me what tank that I can get straight from the manufacturer that will cope with lawns . They both have metal tracks and gearboxes ... Thank you gentlemen .
Re: All terrain tank
Wouldn't be sure what's going on with your two Tigers Blue....but all my HLs...have to pass a test from the get go....and all of them can go over rocky terrain ...long grass...flattened dry grass...run over shrubs with no problem....with one exception...My Jagd Panther which had plastic gearboxes...which actually ran fine after I locked the clutch gear....but died a very cool death when the plastic bearing fused to the metal gear axle
...replaced with black steel...and she's still going strong
My Tiger is an early gen...still has the plastic gearboxes...as well as tracks...have changed to metal bogies for a little added traction...but that one runs like a bat out of hell
...so I just don't mess with it

No such thing as a stupid question! I find that the panthers pretty good, also the Pershing works well. The taigen tanks are good as they come with low ratio gearboxesBluelion wrote:Probably another stupid question but here goes , I have two heng long tigers and neither go over grass very well ( only in a straight line , can't turn) they seem to struggle , they are both ok over hard floors and even loose stones . My lawn is very soft due to all the rain we have had , I will have another go and see what happens .
Re: All terrain tank
Is it that the tracks just spin out or it stalls?Bluelion wrote:My lawn is very soft due to all the rain we have had , I will have another go and see what happens .

The tracks go slower on grass with both of them running it just about gets away with it , when turning it nearly stalls , it seems like the motors are just not man enough . But I'll have another test tomorrow. I was under the impression they were all like this .... It loves carpet and gravel
Re: All terrain tank
Running on trimmed grass should almost be the same as running on carpet...still don't know where your problem is coming from...What kind of gearboxes are in your tanks...If plastic...try using some epoxy putty to lock the clutch gear...and lube all the bearings

Hi Fit a good battery at least 4,000 mah ,change motors for 480 permax then put a IBU in it will rip your lawn up do donuts on it. Have 4 Tigers and a king Tiger 4 of them have IBUs fitted with these motors all have metal tracks they run anywhere mud long grass hills no problem.

Hi Blue, I think a video would help a lot. Can you film your tanks running on grass and post it here? As other members have said, I have a Pantiger which has a Tiger I chassis, metal gearboxes and tracks. It runs well on grass, sand and stone. It weights 3.7kg after all the upgrade.
H/L Pantiger, H/L Leopard 2A6, Mato Panzer III, Hybrid Tiger 1 and some tank wreckage
