Hi All

Post by Furious »

Good Evening,

I have recently purchased a 1:16 Heng Long 2.4Ghz Sherman Pro from Howes Models via Amazon. After a busy week of construction painting and weathering I gave my tank christened "Furious" it's first run out last Sunday at the Grantham Light Armoured Division club meet at Great Gonerby. Unfortunately after an hour of running the right hand motor started to fail. Thanks to the expert advice offered at the club, Gavin at Howes Models was contacted on Monday and a replacement motor arrived today (Tuesday), After a couple of hours tinkering in the shed during which the flooded smoke unit was also stripped and dried out, everything was put back together and she now works a treat.

Here are a few pictures of "Furious" as she is now:

I've got lots of questions to ask about gearboxes, Infrared and broken plastic screw points but I will ask them on the appropriate forum.

Cheers

Ian ,Welcome to the Forum,
A few years back someone on the Forum bought a Tank from HOWES and it failed soon after arriving, He contacted HOWES and told them the problem and a couple of days later a van turned up to take away the failed Tank swapping it for a new replacement,
I believe the word for that is SERVICE, and HOWES are easily one of the cheapest suppliers of Tanks in the country.
Ask all the questions you want, we enjoy answering them.
shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
