Nicholas Moran aka 'The Chieftain'

Post by 43rdRecceReg »

Anybody follow this Irish/American tank enthusisast?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Prfuk-Z1-Y4 He covers the Matilda and other Brit tanks. Perhaps this is all ancient news on the site, like a replay of 'Timeteam', but he's new to me :)

If you just copy the https code, then paste & go into your command line, the link works fine.

I know him back when he was still an Irishman applying for US citizenship and starting his career in the US Army. Back then he kept an online journal at the forum where I knew him, about his experience in Officer Candidate School IIRC, as well as his experience in Iraq during his tour in OIF. He's got a Loch Ness Monster stuffed toy named Nessie that goes with him, including his tour in Iraq, mounted on the mantlet IIRC of his M1.

Good chap, and now very active for Wargaming, the company that brought to us World of Tanks.

Glad that the link, if glitchy, perked a little interest. 'The Chieftain''s approach seems to me to be enthusiastic, fresh, informed, sometimes funny and he covers an impressive array of armour.. ......and his favourite tank was made in Britain; that's my boy!

Good evening,
I subscribe to this fellow on YouTube and enjoy his work greatly. The comedy aspect of him squeezing his 6'8" frame into some of those tanks always elicits a chuckle. He manages to make his short segments informative and the video of the vehicles is appreciated. ;o)
regards,
