Re: Something I've been doing the past days
Still waiting for additional stowage bits (ammo cans, MRE boxes, etc), but here's how the M1A2 SEPika vChu looks like right now:

The rolls of rubber around the antennas are sleeping mats. I used bicycle interior tubes, cut to shape, rolled, and glued. Tissue is strap.
The tarp in between the 120mm mortar ammo box and road wheel is made of tissue with cotton inside to give it bulk, brushed with diluted white glue, then painted.
The jerrycan racks were made in Kuwait and/or Saudi Arabia for vehicles during the invasion of Iraq in OIF 2003. I liked the look of these, scratchbuilt a pair (see old post somewhere in this thread for the unpainted one) and added it to my tank. The "story" goes that these jerrycans racks somehow survived all these years and the crew put these back to use.

Excellent work; that's a great idea to use bike tubes! I will be adding much of these things to my build, including the jerrycan racks. Where are you finding the 1/16 MRE boxes?

Re: Something I've been doing the past days
One of the guys here, I think Alpha though I'm not sure now, sent me an email of the MRE boxes last year. It's just a matter of printing these. I edited the image to update the dates (2002 to 2014), but my laziness and forgetfulness ensured I haven't printed any out since editing it last year hahahaha! Will do so tomorrow if I don't forget hihihihi!

Great idea! I think I have the Tamiya boxes floating around in 1/35, will try to find them.
Thanks, Tom

The first of several:

I edited the image given to me by updating the dates and other stuff including turning the coloured image to black and white then adjusting brightness and contrast. Printed out 16 of these on a sheet cut from a brown envelope.

Atcttge,
What was your source for the Expanded Metal you used for the floor of your bustle? Headed down the same road building a SEP V2 using HL M1 at least that is my intention!

Hi BarryC, sorry for the late reply.
I just used the same wire aluminium mesh for windows and such. Although for the proper diamond pattern, you can get it at some office supply shops where they have containers that have the diamond mesh pattern, just cut to size. HTH!
