hl walker bulldog on the way

Post by igotit »

New member here
Ordered a 2.4 ghz bulldog plastic version with smoke n sound.
Alwayys wanted a hl tank.
Anything i should be concerned about?
Plan on gearbox mods, track and wheel upgrades.
What kinda runtime should i expect on stock battery.....and can the stock esc handle 3s lipo?
Ive been in the rc game since early 90s....so mods and building arent a concern.

Thanx

If you are sticking with the RX18 you can just fit a quality Nimh battery. A 3700mah battery will run for a loooong time as the RX18 has a low power draw. The stock battery is only 2000mah and its low quality so you will only get 20 odd mins on a good day. The Bulldog is an excellent runner over any terrain, so it doesn't suck the life out of the battery doing turns etc.

Especially if Godzilla is mad...and has big feet :haha: :haha: :haha:
If small feet...beh...the Walker should survive to shoot a few more ;)

Hi, and welcome to the forum, igotit. No wait, ugotit. idontgotit, ugotit, igotit. Yeah, I got a weird sense of humor. I also got a Walker Bulldog and I just love it. If you ever get bored you can make it into one of these. @) >:< @)

Lol
Thanx for the vid.

Tracking says it will be her on january 6th.....i hate waiting for packages....so painful.
I chose the bulldog because i read it was a nice dependable platform with no known issues like some other heng longs.
My main concern is tracks,i can deal with under powered for now.
Ive also read that the bulldog does well with stock plastic tracks.....we will see i guess.

Hi max.
Like your video and play ground. I like what you have done with the quad .50's. I have an old bulldog and that upgrade looks great. I ussume the quad came from an old Torra M16. I hope you don't mind me asking but what operating system is in her? the sound of the .50's sounds a lot better than my torra M16 does.
I have to admit my old bulldog has been going a long time now (about 7 years) and still has the original plastic gearboxes and tracks with an old RX-13 in it. it gets used on my back garden by the next doors children. against an old tiger 1. and so far has never given an once of trouble.
So in my experience certainly the bulldog is a good runner.

Denzil, that's a clark TK22 in the bulldog, and yes, the quads came from one of my Torro M16 halftracks. I think Commander Bob has just the quads available if you need them.

Igotit, those are metal tracks as this is the Taigen model, but I also have the HL M41 and that has plastic tracks and GBs and I gave it to my nephew, who beats the crap out of it and it's still running strong after two years.
