Faces to Names...

In reality, I enjoy sweeping away the cobwebs of consciousness to rediscover the delights of the sixties.. ; the feel of the velvet pants; the smell of snow jasmine joss sticks; the hollowness of 'peace and love ' protestations; the drug-induced reading between the lines of Beatles' songs; the excessive use of 'far out', 'fab' and 'groovy', and the timeless sugariness of Donovan's lovely "Summer day reflection song'....and, of course, fantasies about Diana Rigg. Of course, I'd much rather hear 'far out'
than sentences peppered with "LIKE'. I'd willingly go back in time, or even come back as Marty Feldman, than endure like, a future, like where like people like say like 'And I was like', and they were like'...... Utter torture..like. If I were in Guantanamo I'd confess to anything if i were forced to modern speech patterns of the under 30s. Like. Worse still, is the combination of 'like' with the total mis-and overuse, of 'literally'..delivered with the so-called Australian Upward Inflection; where every statement appears to end in a question.
Small wonder I retreat to the safety of Diana Riggs' buttocks, and McGoohan's 'No 6'. By the way, The Man from Uncle was actually American, but had strong british input in the form of Leo G.Carroll ,and the Ageless scot David McCallum (Damn, but that bastrad still looks great even in his seventies!)
Now where did I leave that Time Machine...

to form a phrase..."Like Totally Gag Me With a Spoon" ....simple...but something which still lacks true definition

Alpha, she wasn't in Batman, she was on the IMF. And that's a cool flashback photo.
Burgess Meredith has been a favorite actor of mine for most of my life. From the famous post-apocalypse library to the sci-fi romp in an F-86. Very classy dude.
There were two Catwomen (in the TV series).

Burgess Meredith is one of those Iconic actor...one who really took whatever part he played to heart...with that said...as far as Batman goes...I think Danny Divito did an equally stellar job as the Penguin...and Michael Keaton still stands (to me anyway) as the best Batman

I'm deeply touched, Alpha. 'Linguistic master', indeed...the 'blarney' comes from a love of James Joyce, Monty Python, The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, and Richard Cheese..not to mention several degrees in postgraduate Bullshitting. I would describe myself as an 'enlightened pessimist', or an open book-.. (albeit a tricky one to read according to an old hippy pal of mine.)..There's also the scottish/Irish love of the 'blether' pocheen induced hallucinations, and great music. Currently, though, this website is a treasure trove of charming oddballs and wits. and people rich in anecdotes (to come). You're the most eclectic from a media standpoint, and an enjoyable distraction from the vagaries of a broken ankle (it 'F**king hurts) and being housebound for weeks. Keep 'em coming!!!

Hey! Another fan of the F Body! Cool. Good for you, Stuart. You look like regular folk, just the kind of guy I like to hang out with. I've also got a Malibu, but mine is a 2011, one of those all-look-alike yuppie-mobiles. I had a 66 Malibu for a while, though, that you really would have liked. Gotta love those Chevy motors.

Hi max yep luv the f body camaros firebirds and anything big block, back then i was heavily into the whole american muscle car scene here in uk, but sadly now after divorce, civilian life and semi retirement due to poor health my income is very limited, so no muscle cars for me now. i have my trike a suzuki vs700 based trike, the bike was an american import before being triked, and a chrysler pt cruiser street cruiser mk1 . loved those chevy/pontiac 350 v8`s but the best one for me was that buick 455 that was swapped into the chevy malibu, despite having a standard rear axle/drive and it was a heavy beast i clocked the 0-60mph in just over a lil over 6 seconds and the torque was just stump pulling.
