Further reading has told me that a single T100 was converted to a SU100Y self propelled gun and was used in the defence of Moscow in 1941 NOT Leningrad!

Have to admit ...never knew about this tank till Sass showed me his chassis ....it's pretty amazing as a build...for those who can spare the time...for me...if it entered into my dream?....It would probably be a Nightmare

Re: Is this real? or a modellors Dream?
Hi all
thanks for the info and Alwyn for the drawing, I think this is moving towards the top half of my list to try. First because its unique and second, the challenge to build it.
I'm thinking of a hidden IR receiver on the top turret (for 360' visibility ) and then separate IR transmitters (one in each turret).
Borrow wibbly's idea of 2 RX-18 for the turret control with a relay to switch between each turret and have the IR receiver paralleled to each receiver.
. Mmmmm the more I think about I'm sure I seen a circuit in one of my books that would suit
Anyway thanks all for your help its something to blow away the cobwebs in the new year.
Regards Denzil

Re: Is this real? or a modellors Dream?
For anyone wanting to print actual size bluprints, use pcpaint and cut up the blueprint into separate documents, and in the print setup you can specify the % size of the print you want. If you know from wiki what the actual size of the tank is, then divide by 16 to give the model dimension, then keep printing and changing the % size until you get a length/width that agrees with your calculations, then print off the rest of the views and you will get top/side/front/back elevations to work from. Make sure you change the margin size in print setup to 5mm for top/bottom/both sides to get as much on a page as possible. PCpaint will then cut the diagram into printable pages which you can preview and change from portrait to landscape or vice versa as appropriate to get the minimum number of pages, then cut and sellotape together.
