Re: Gig's 1:16 FCM F1
Very impressive, and a unique build, I don't think anyone has done one of those before. One trick with a 3D printer that I have learnt is to only print the edges of a 3D shape, with two angled surfaces on each edge. Then I glue sheets of styrene onto each surface and sand the edges and corners down. It makes the structure very strong, accurate and it keeps symmetry. As styrene has a better finish than PLA/ABS the flat surfaces always look good. It saves a load on filament and printing time too.

this is my recent work with the 3D printing.

Outstanding Graphic work GiGs
....I have to wonder though...just how long you must spend behind your puter
Nice design...I like the inclusion of the screw points
And before I forget...Happy Holidays to you and yours

well making the base model in actual size, i'd say in 4-8 hours.
redetailing it with finer looking parts takes about a day or shorter if everything is made into components.
now comes to making into a printable RC model, 2-3 weeks collected time?
