OK...This is just one thing I noticed...your tracks seem tight...they shouldn't be level on the top...especially with a Tiger ...so they might be binding the gearboxes...add a link or two and test again

Had a similar problem with a 2nd hand PanzerIII...the guy just kept running it...when I got it the motors were just a hair from catching on fire...threw up a bunch of smoke which the seller chalked off as the smoke from the smoker....added links to both sides as both were too tight...the gearboxes had a bad grinding sound like yours...fortunately after the track adjustment the chassis ran fine..the gears were saved because the guy had put a generous amount of lube ..still had to change the motors as they were pretty much fried...had a bad burn smell come out of them ...that came from the arching that happened as the tank was run ...which was poor at best

I heard from others said my ESC's kaput- the new blue motor's capacity too high for the RX18 board to cope with, and not even a clark board can handle those motors? This guy uses the T-2000 caterpillar to control the motors...is this true?
What is your opinion then bro?

If i test only on with one side running, unplugged the other side of motor off the engine would not shut down. Runs perfectly fine with one side.
The engine shuts down when both left + right plugged together rough stick movement causes the engine shutdown.
Bro, and i noticed tiny white spark lights going on and off from inside the blue motors while one of them is spinning...

Another thing I notice...not sure if it's the angle...but the blue motors don't seem to have the resistors the stock ones have..is this a correct observation?
Did you try switching the stock motors and put them into the blue gearboxes ?

It's the RX-18. Can't handle these motors. The amp draw is too much. I have run them in my Sherman with a Clark which has 30A and they run very nicely. Did a 500M circuit to test them out...

And yes, you need the resistors on the motors for signal interference.

Plus like the old saying "doc it hurts when I do this" Doc says "don't do that" ....

In my wildest driving I have never jerked the stick around like that! LOL!

Question- resistors or capasitors? I have noticed the old plastic gear boxes have capasitors soldered on them...The new gearbox does not have any soldering on it , it uses red and black wire clipping to the blue motors only...
Do i have to solder this new motor with resistors/capasitors as well?

Can a Heng Long 2.4 ghz upgrade do the trick in replacing the Rx18 board? Whare can i but a clark board?
