I thought Paul meant he he's no longer building his Panther...I doubt very much the Panthers been discontinued.

According to HLJ Tamiya's Panther G is now out of production, and in other modeling news, Trumpeter is going to produce two variants of the Panther G as static kits in 1/16th.

Have you test fit your barrel with the mantlet yet? As far as I knew they correct the barrel slop in the newer kits so you shouldn't have an issue

H1! Sorry for the delay in response I must have missed it in my haste to find parts =-) Indeed I do have an issue with barrel slop. MUst be an older kit I guess. FYI the Panther is now Discontinued =-(

Hobby Link Japan said that the Tamiya Panther G is now out of production. Trumpeter will be making a new tool 1/6th PAIR of Panthers in 1/16th for the static model market according to its website.

They did say this about the tiger as well, both Tamiya sites and banzai still has them so they still seem available. Hopefully they stay that way
