Another great night at Washington.

Post by panzershrek »

Again just to say it was another great meet at Washington, with Chris (Grompix) bringing his beautiful stug 3 and amazing Panzer IV, seeing the progress on Tony's (oz) Tiger mid, hearing of Brians fab Su85 plans, as well as seeing John (Mackem) again, who was kind enough to help me lug my Tamie Pershing from my car and back :P.

Looks like we got a good thing going up ere.  :)

Cheers everyone,

Alex ;D

A good sign of a great night at the club is the speed in which the 3 hours goes over. It was a very busy night and great to see everyone working chatting and getting along like a house on fire. Apart from the 1/16 scale subjects tonight it was amazing to see the progress on Keith's 1/35 scale e-boat which dwarfs the 1/16 scale tanks and all of the other subjects such as Eddies 1/72 marvels and the figures of the Sci-fi lads and big Mick's Warhammer figures. A nice suprise for me was the super detail on big Keith's 1/35 SU-100 which was spooky since I am starting to convert my old T34 into a SU-85. Glad you could make it again Alex, along with Chris & John, we are indeed very lucky to have this facility on our door steps. See you next week???

You're right Brian, I wish time went over so quickly at work.
The diversity of subjects and the skills on display at the club are amazing. Even better though is the friendly atmosphere and the way everyone is happy to help and offer advice. I'll be over next week with my PzIV which hopefully will be ready for a lick of paint.  ;) ;D ;D ;D

Cheers

No problem Alex, I should have the templates all sorted for next Thursday and maybe get a super-structure built and the original front cut out. Next challenge will be the mantlet - oh joy :D

Yep, I wholeheartedly agree with all the sentiments expressed here. Another great night with some beautiful model work going on. Tony's (oz's) mid production Tiger is looking particularly tasty. It's going to be a stunner when its painted.

It's great to be part of such a thriving group.

Looking forward to seeing John's (mackem's) Panzer IV next week.

Cheers
Chris  ;D
