I'm pretty certain that I read somewhere that a tank version of the Eurofighter is on the books. A friend of mine worked on the Nimrod tech, it actually worked, there was nothing it couldn't do, the problem wasn't technology it was the govt insisting that they use a small plane, and then perpetually asking for more and more tech to fit into it. The spec kept changing, which meant the whole install had to be redesigned each time, the cost went through the roof and they cut the funding.

The whole arms thing is now a bit of a joke really, no nation is going to attack another, everyone has too many missiles, and that is what would be used before tanks and troops. We just have to sit back and watch while politicians play 'my gun is bigger than your gun' with billions of taxpayers money. The UK could be wiped out with around eight nuclear warheads, and just one missile has plenty more than that. All the tanks in the world couldn't protect us.

I do however happen to know the official 'safe place' outside of Bristol in the event that someone decides to obliterate all of the Ministry of Defence installations around here. Guess I know which direction I will be heading in... :lolno:

And there's Skelmersdale. A few nukes would actually improve the area.

Had a look at one and a whizz round the scout hut on Sunday. The mould quality is bang on up there with anything Tamiya have made. Drives well too. Stick some decent gearboxes and electrics in there, and these tanks are going to look and run brilliantly.
