Heng Long RC tank controller right stick problem.

Post by NGKGTATT »

 Hi there, just another problem i can not figure it out...
The right stick which is the RC tank's movement stick could not get back to its default position, The tank simply rushed forward continously...or should i say the RC tank won't stop by itself.
Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem? Or what should i do if there's no solution to this stick problem?

hi this is a problem with the heng long transmitters they do snap bits off inside . there are 4 screws on the back if you undo them take the back off and see what damage there is on it . may be cheaper to get another one .

Your return Spring has come away from its mount or the fixing point that holds the spring has snapped
But as Dave said a new handset is not that expensive or if some one on here has a spare hand set they don't need.

I have one, but I don't know where you are, NGKGTATT. If you're in the states it's no big deal, but if you're in the UK you can probably buy one there cheaper than shipping one from here. So where are you?

That's bad news for shipping prices. There's a guy at RCU I think is in Malaysia. Have you opened the TX yet to see if you can find the problem?

I have open up the controller already, inside it is something like the analogue joystick of a video game controller pad(X-box 360/
PS3 type). That's all i know already. I have no idea how fix an analogue stick... :/

Saw this earlier...I've repaired these controllers before ...same problem that you are having...like Forgebear said...sometimes it's an easy go...sometimes it's not...there are some screws on the retaining block that supports the joystick mech....you can take those off to remove the stick assy ....once it's off you have to be careful as there are several small parts ...check the return springs...sometimes they get stuck ....or slide out of the "keeper" that holds it in place...I've also seen the stick get stuck because of poor trimming of the flash from the factory ...if you're lucky....jiggling it back and forth will free it up ... ;)

Good Luck

PS. Where are you located....I have a bunch of spares....but sending to the UK may not be practical

Alpha, he already said he's in Malaysia. NGKGTATT is there anything I can call you that's easier to type? :)

If you take the back off and hold the TX carefully in your lap you can carefully reach underneath and move the joystick that works the way it should. Watch closely to see what everything does and if the bad joystick acts the same way. Remember that the two joysticks (gimbals) are the same, but one of them is upside down, backwards, whatever you want to call it, basically a mirror image. Look for any springs or moving parts that aren't acting the same on both gimbals. If you can identify the hang-up or broken part you're halfway home and then you just have to fix it. If you absolutely can't find one anywhere else I have one I'll give you for free, but you'll have to pay the shipping and I have no idea how much that would be, but I'll bet it's a lot. If you think it will help I'll make you a video showing how to check these things.

SIR... ;) with salute of course :haha: :haha:
Thanks for clearing that up Max

Malaysia is still a little impractical to send a spare controller or joystick assy though :shifty: ...A lot of HL vendors in that sector ;)
