New Guy on the block.

Post by panzer man »

Hello all. I just joined this page a few weeks ago & must admit that I am addicted to RC Tank Warfare. I am amazed at the level of work performed by others on here in addition to the amount of knowledge that some of the members have on a particular vehicle. I live in San Diego, CA. USA & consider myself to be an intermediate level modeler. I love anything WWII especially German armor & I'm just getting into the 1/16 scale scene. I go by the name "panzer man" on RCTW & just started a build thread on my Tamiya 1/16 scale Tiger I. The kit is static with the basic battery operated motor but I may get more into RC with future builds. All comments (both good & bad) suggestions, tips, advice, etc. are welcome on my thread. Hope to meet some new people, make new friends, & learn the fine art of tank modeling from others.

Hi there. I'm kinda new to this forum myself but let me be the first to say welcome. It's nice to see another Yank come aboard. :)

I'll check out your tiger build. That's one of my favorite tanks and I'm always ready to see pix of another cat. 8)
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

Thanks Max-U52! We Yanks cant let the Brits have all the fun in the RC Tank World! I'm a Tiger fanatic too & between the Tamiya & Heng Long builds forum, there is quite a few big cats to check out.

Hi Welcome to the forum , your the second this week from San Diego the other guy is called scottd1975. he was looking for a club in your area . Which there is run buy a guy called Rich Johnson. He has been in contact with him . If you want to get into R.C tanks it would be a good idea to go to one of the meetings , meet up and see what its all about . Talking to guys who have been running tanks for a while will save you a fortune (it will all most certainly cost you a fortune if you get hooked lol), they will have been through ll the mistakes and save you going through them.
