Just confirm you have a little plug which should have come with the board do you have this ???

You probably have been reading this ???

I don't have that little plug , I only got a card and remote when I placed the order.
Could I pick one up at a hobby shop?

Kaiser! Thanks so much.. I added the jumper like you described and then bound the dx6
And presto..... Movement, sound and turret rotation work
I am sure I will hit a few more snags but thanks for breathing life into the tiger

All is good it will be a good runner  we will help fix your programme setup if you need it and make sure all the channels are moving in the right direction on your sticks .

Are you having a smoker in the tiger ???
I have a Hong long smoker but not sure if I want to bother ?
Just picked up 2 micro servos for the turret elevation and recoil.
If anyone has a link to converting a taigen turret to servo I would appreciate it.

That Clark unit looks like a good way to go. Is it expensive? Didn't see a price on their web page ?

That video looks great, I may have to save my pennies for that turret mod. I got 2 micro servos and may tackle it sooner or later. But now I am just amazed that it runs, turns, makes noise and tonight I hooked up the turret rotation motor and it works like a charm
Still lots to do however. I tried and failed again to airbrush today :{ :haha:
Just need way more practice.
Here are a few pics as she sits now, minus the fancy cable holders, I decided to save those for the tamiya tiger model. It's great to be working on this tank again.

Kiaser wrote:Very good it is great when you see some movement and things work as they should

Yes always work on the tiger 1 :/ never ends :haha: :haha: airbrushing you will enjoy the only problem is the air if you can get good air to them and maintain 20 to 25 psi they love it but some of the small compressor struggle at 15 psi :'( and we'll just terrible .

Feel your pain my tiger is endless pit of pennies but I keep working at it :{
Kaiser may I ask you a few more questions?
In this first photo of the turret rotation wires, apart from the rotation and machine gun can I just snip off the ones I don't use, not going to have headlights.
Image
The next is the tamiya batt plug cord , w on /off switch. It has 2 extra wires that I think goto the final photo a charging port in the turret.
Image
Image
Are these wires in any way useful? Or should I just cut them also? Finally that little fan is wired into the on/off switch wire also, any harm if I just snip its wires off?
Oh and where do I get the little blue thing for the Clark board? Didn't come w board when I bought it?
Image
Cheers and thanks again

The welds look great! Wish I could do welds. I tried a few times with both Miliput & Squadron Green Putty on some scrap pieces but never could get satisfactory results. :problem:

Thanks panzer man.
I tried a couple of things before settling on mili put
I roll into thin strips and with a wet finger it's easy to get into grooves
And re form.

Well after a few day of muckin about I have got everything settled in the hull.
I am going to attempt to install servo recoil and elevation.
So far I am learning something new everyday, and also learning to save every scrap of plastic , screw et al... You never know when that will be just the part you need
