Grub screws on Henntec track tensioners - size?
I seem to have destroyed one of the grub screws on my Henntec track tensioner of my M1. Wot is the size of the grub screws?

Hi, All the "GRUB" screws on all the axles and idlers as well as the sprockets of all my TAIGEN and HENG LONG TANKS are M3/3mm, you are going to need the length as well as the thread size if you are about to order replacements.
They are extraordinarily cheap on E-BAY.

Thanks but I am asking for the screws found on the Henntec track tensioner.
Specially the screw that locks the idler arm to the track tensioner housing.

I If you have a good ironmonger near you try there . My local shop sells allsorts of bolts and screws. bought 200 3mm bolts for £4 worth checking. By the time you find them on ebay the postage would pay for a large amount of screws.

Alas, I couldn't get the grub screw free. My allen screw driver has stripped away the metal so now it just spins freely and the grub screw is well and still stuck.

Re: Grub screws on Henntec track tensioners - size?
I did that already. Didn't work. The screw driver broke away. I even used Milliput and let cure overnight. Screwdriver was stuck in the grub screw like a rock. When I started to loosen the screw, driver broke off again with the screw not even budging.Kiaser wrote:Easy grab your screw driver and ca glue and glue it in clean the screw driver later

Hi Guido. Thanks. I got the right tool, just that all that tensioning stripped the inside of the grub screw so now my tool can't lock into the hex.
I'll be ordering a new track tension set next month when funding becomes available. I'll send you a PM around that time for that.

I bought two tool sets a few years ago and have never regretted either purchase,
They are a "DRAPERS" Tap & Die set (part number 21TDS) and a "ROLSON" Tap & Die set (M1.0 - to M2.2) and between both sets I have got nearly every size in our hobby covered,
If I am fitting new suspension to a Tank I always chase the thread for the Grub screws first, trust me it will save bad language later.
I can make threads, but more importantly I can CLEAN threads,
Worth every penny.
