hello from a tank newb
Hello from San Diego Ca. I am new to the tank hobby but def not new to the RC hobby. I have modded several traxxas vehicles and would like to get into a tank. I was looking at the Tamiya Sherman or M1 tanks and thought I would ask if that was a good brand to start with. Can I use the lithium batteries and I used on my traxxas cars?

Hello and welcome! I currently run the Traxxas 5800mah 2 cell lipos in my tanks, however they both have lipo battery protection provided by IBU2 boards. The Traxxas lipos are nice BUT you must run a board that has battery run down protection built in as there is no way to wire in an alarm for them.

Yes, got the Traxxas battery home before I discovered it didn't have a balancing plug, so no more of those for me.jackalope wrote:Hello and welcome!
