Panther w/ metal hull not available in US?

Post by tao »

Curious if the Taigen Panther with lower metal hull is available in the US or Canada? Only see it in Dominique's site in Germany.

I got mine from Carson at DKLM. Put brass dual ratio gearboxes and an IBU in it and I absolutely love it. Worth every single penny. Carson will haggle if you want to buy roadwheels, tracks or spkt/id sets. Tell him you're on the forum and he might knock another 5%. Can't hurt to ask, eh?

That is good to upgrade if you have upper but looking to get the whole tank as I think buying all the component parts
would be more costly.

I started with one of those $125 HL Jagdpanthers. Here she is now.

I think there were some exclusive agreement with rctank.de as they are the only one that has the metal lower with upper for sale as far as I know. The lower that Carson sells is also from rctank.de. If you look at the new Taigen Panther F, Dom at rctanl.de is taking pre-orders and I am not seeing it anywhere else.

I believe this only applies to the Panther metal lower, and not the other Taigen metal lowers.

So you think they will be eventually released to other dealers in the US and Canada in the near future?
I can see exclusive deals, but per continent is sufficient in my opinion! :)

tao, I don't think it will be carry by anyone in North America anytime soon, but rctank.de pricing is quite reasonable. They have it in stock right now for 139 euro which according to Google conversion anyway is $149 USD. Carson when he had stock was selling them for $169 USD I believe. In addition, don't forget that rctank.de has VAT discount for non-EU countries, so what I find usually is that the shipping is a wash (i.e. the shipping cost equal to the VAT discount).

I've heard that IMEX will have them 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2016.
