Maybe the '34 with the armoured barrel was unavailable & they just grabbed what was handy. Any aircraft would not care if it was a '42 or a '34 that was spraying them, and Im certain the tank crew didnt care

Herman, Think yourself lucky that your not an Englishman,
We invented most of these blo*dy games and what happens? we get beaten by just about any team that can be raised with enough people below the age of 90 and above the age of 6,
OH woe, woe, a thousand times woe, I know I had a full bottle here somewhere, NURSE!!!
shaun.

Now that's just not CRICKET !
My poor little gun getting shot down HA HA It's the one that came with the tank so I'll live with it for now. Good point though guys......it's the detail and experience from you guys that does keep these tanks and us who want to keep modding them correctly so appreciate all your thoughts and advice. The ammo rounds are a little rough so I'll be filling them to a point. Overall I'm happy with the little ammo pouch......needs a bit more nickel colour. I'm still tempted with doing a dark wash over the tank just to lose some of the edge on the colouring and tone it down a bit. It's a shame there's no club here on the south coast (uk)
Cheers guys.......and let's keep fingers crossed on the cricket

Re: Taigen Tigers
Paul my hero,
I thought that the mg was mounted over the back of the cupola looking over the engine bay,
I hadn't thought about it being a late Panzer 4,
Now I feel much better, BOO SUCKS SIMON
So right again, I think the last time was about 1972,
I now wait for David Byrden to tell me that of course the Tiger 1 had the mg42, but until he does I will maintain that Tiger 1s only had the armoured barrelled mg34
shaun.

Re: Taigen Tigers
Tiger 1s had only the "panzer" barreled MG34. That was the only kind that you could fit into the tank's MG positions.
