Ya know, if anyone else is working on new crew and want to share the photos I'd really love to see them.

That machine gunner looks great, Tom. Thanks for posting him. I'm hoping more guys will do the same. I can get a LOT of info from looking at how other guys are painting their crews.

So about those boots, Tom, is the kit textured like that and you just dry brushed, or did you apply something to get that effect before painting? It looks very cool and I'm thinking that might also work for mud (or cow pie, take your pick). :haha: :haha: :haha:

Max,
Good afternoon, here are a couple of figure photos. Crazy Joe ( an example of how 'not' to do it and so 'interesting' that I was asked to leave him as is. ) and the Commander of the 'Palace' and his Gunner along with the Sergeant commanding B-12 at Inchon in Korea. I've received a lot of good advice from Scalawag on how to do this correctly and the work is getting easier and producing better results. ;o)
regards and following along,
Painless

Thanks..After painting I just used a little clear gel hair spray- brushed it on then sprinkled a little rice flower (I always use that for snow) and or elmers glue and a little water then drizzle the snow on.. with the gel mix it a bit with the rice flower powder- then brush on for a more slushy look.Often I just use whatever I grab ..like Picasso said when asked..when your painting what if you run out of blue..and he said I use red! :)
