Modeling Is Alive And Well In Russia

Hi Chaps,

Many of you are probably already aware of this web-site, but it was new to me. It's clear that beautiful modeling is alive and well in Mother Russia. There's an awful lot to see here besides tanks (and only few are 1/16 scale), but the paint and finishing of many of these beauties is breath-taking. Be prepared for a long sit-down because there are over 930 pages of some great stuff within. Here's but one example of one of my favorite modeler's on this site:

I see what you mean, there isn't a duff model on there?? lol. They are all amazingly detailed. There is one thing that I have noticed over the years, and that is the standard of modelling, especially anything that involves scratch building, engineering etc, is of an incredibly high standard in places like Poland and Russia. They seem to have retained those manual skills that we no longer have.
