Forgot I had a concert attendance for my 3 1/2 year old today :problem:
She went well considering all the hype & a big crowd at the Gold Coast Arts Centre. A treasured memory :)

Got all the mounts etc on for the schurzen. Added damage to the left rear and blew a coat of primer over it.
Really to get it all one shade and to look like proper progress.
Have decided to paint the concrete "concrete" rather than leave it natural. I will mask it off now its primed & once the Dunklegelb goes on, paint the cemented areas to be a bit closer to dry concrete than it was.
I real happy with the zimmerit on the front hull area, looks just about right.
Might try and mask off some of these areas with my Panzer Putty & keep the smooth areas in primer, like a patch of zim has been removed...................
Off to work again for a week so no more build progress, but at least tonight I can rest with the sweet smell of drying red oxide self etching primer

Much appreciated Mr Rob, believe me, its a bit of a pain at times, but the result is satisfying.
I will need to mask sections off so I can paint the top coat & still retain the used look of exposed primer.

Got the last bits I needed onto the Schwein and hit it with the Dunkelgelb. Im happy with the base coat and now need to decide on the camo pattern, as, I have not made my mind up after all this time !!
Tonight I will sand off the axle stubs & perhaps fit the wheels, but not sure on that yet either. :/
The Schurzen armour has the yellow on the outside faces only, even though I feel at the time this machine was getting around there was no the critical shortage of paint as would soon come. The inner faces are red oxide. Will see how it looks after a mock up & maybe paint the inner faces Dunkelgelb if they dont blow my hair back ;)
Added bullet damage to one of the front schurzen plates, would have been a Dshk type weapon, these should come out good once weathered etc.
Its getting there, now, off to check out camo schemes

Love the skirts, they finish a tank.

I love any skirts !! :haha:
Yes Sir, concrete armour made from actual concrete !
These pics show it under masking tape though, I am going to hand paint it concrete colour later & then do a very rough brush up of a partial cover, as if the crew did the concrete & quickly bunged paint over it to tone the starkness down.
Also going to make the stowage cage a bit more oxidised(couldnt be assed masking it ) so it looks field added.

At the moment, figuring out the best way to make a tarp that will cover the mantlet, onto the upper hull that will stay put, look right, and move with the barrel elevation etc without cracking :problem:

Some sort of fabric and stiffen it with glue?

I had a stug in 1/35th with concrete armour, that's what made me think 'hey that looks cool' :D
