My first attempt at a tank build. It's mostly metal (Turret, chassis, gun, transmission, tracks etc.,) and mostly Taigen. I still have to connect the Feifel air cleaner hoses/pipes and, as they get in the way when opening the tank, I'm going to use mini magnets to link
the pipes to the cleaner casings. (Saw the idea on the Heng Long Panzer.de site). Inside I have the new Taigen Airsoft recoil system. , and 360deg rotation kit. I'll post a picture of the innards at a later date. The Westie in the background is a very stern critic of my effort. the noo! It's not a patch on some I've seen here; but live and learn, eh? Really enjoyed the build though. This is also my first brush with the airbrush...
Roy.
Have now bought:
Toro King Tiger metal ed. (with box) from RCtank.de
It looks so good, I really don't want to tamper with it.

Like the effect you ended up with. Looks like the whitewash is wearing off some.

Re: The Tiger in Winter
Thanks a lot, Greengiant. A jolly good name, by the way. Anyway, I agonised over the colour; but as this is an early tiger, it had to begin with Dunkelgrau..then, well, winter white wash seemed the only realistic option. Still haven't decided on a turret number, and whether stencilled might look more authentic than transfer.
