Welcome Ernst from Roseville CA. A good reference for you in Texas would be Gene at Artistic Hobbies. Great guy to deal with.

How did I miss this one?!? Welcome, Ernst. I used to live down in Houston way back when and if you know the joke I'm what you'd call a Ratback.

Sounds like you and I have a very common modeling background. If you have any photos posted anywhere of your aircraft builds I'd love a link so I can check them out. I'm a member at finescale.com so hopefully you have some there. My last 32nd build was a Stuka, and the kit stash contains lots of cool 32nd kits that the RC tanks have stolen all my time from. But, I keep promising myself that this winter I WILL build the HE-111!

What static 1/16th kits do you have? I can't wait to see what you do with the E8. I keep telling myself that one day I'll build a Tamiya tank and that's the one I want to start with. Tell ya what, you do a build log and when you finish the tank you can PM me an address and I'll send ya a couple of 1/16 scale 55 gallon fuel drums to go with the Sherman, free of charge. I'll even pick up the postage. But I want to see LOTS of pix! :)

Welcome to the Dark Side. You're gonna love it. Then hate it. Then love it again. Then ...

When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!
