Where are the Challengers?

Post by atcttge »

:haha: :haha: :haha:

I cannot wait for all of you who have ordered the CR2 to make me deeply envious with your CR2 builds. I'm looking to order mine next year or so.

Anyhow, to whet your appetites, here's an impressive display of firepower back in 2002 at Larkhill - and yeah, it has CR2s, among others:

Looks like the HL CR2 doesn't have anti-slip coating.

Well, no problem because many many many years ago in another epoch in an alternate universe, another moi made a 1/35 version kitbashing a Trumpeter and Tamiya one and added anti-slip. You can read it here:

Oh yeah. Anti-slip on the CR2 is rougher than found on the M1. :) And YES there is anti-slip on the sides of the turret as seen in that model I built years ago. ISTR that I was old it was added to help crew climb up the turret as well as present a less glossy look.

:haha:

The anti-slip used on the CR2 is like that on the M1 - applied by painting it on the vehicle. But it is rougher in texture. ISTR that texture also varies from vehicle to vehicle.
